Can You Feel It?

Today was a full day of sensory play. We spent the morning making a huge mess with water and shaving cream on the playground.

Needless to say, some of the children were covered in foam from head to toe. The fun was definitely worth the $1 can if shaving cream.

This afternoon was spent stringing some apple flavored cereal onto a necklace. Most of the necklaces are not going to make it home!

Apples Everywhere!

Fall is in the air (even though it is 90 degrees outside)! The preschoolers have begun a unit on apples. We discussed the parts of the apple and tasted different types. We learned that most of us lie golden apples the best. Today we made apple prints.

Our sensory table is filled with cinnamon sticks, oatmeal, brown rice, black beans, and pretend apples. I expected that the children would scoop and sort the items in the tub and I was surprised when they started making these awesome basket arrangements! The apple sensory table turned into a creative art activity.
